District Attorney’s Office Building
Martinez, California
This new building consolidates offices for attorneys and investigators, and provides community and conference rooms, central evidence and storage rooms, and law library. The creative architectural design includes corrugated steel skin and perforated overwindows, which improve the energy efficiency of the building. Our mechanical design for the more than 60 attorneys’ offices features individual temperature control in each office to maximize comfort for occupants utilizing an energy-conserving thermafuser control. Our energy analysis resulted in a building design that is 19 percent below the 2001 California energy code, and qualified for a PG&E Savings By Design owner’s incentive. Currently in design, estimated completion of construction is 2007.
