Mechanical design for new $3.5 million, 15,000 square foot replacement library. LEED Registered, the new, two-story structure features an underfloor air distribution system serviced by an energy-efficient system requiring no mechanical cooling. Our energy modeling resulted in a design that is 19 percent superior to California’s 2001 energy standard, and received a PG&E Savings by Design owner incentive. The library opened in January 2006.
