Folsom & Dore Apartments

LEED commissioning services for 98-unit supportive housing apartment complex. Located in the San Francisco’s South of Market Neighborhood, the project serves a diverse mix of residents with special needs, such as chronic homelessness, physical or developmental disabilities, and HIV/AIDS illness. The ground level features parking for 30 parking stalls and dining/kitchen commons for 66 residents. It also includes 3,200 square feet of community and service area and 3,500 square feet open space with children’s playground.
The design incorporated photovoltaic system to generate energy for all common load areas as well as open staircases and operable windows for natural ventilation. Together with other sustainable features, the total building utility costs, which includes water, trash, common area electric, gas for the entire building, is estimated at merely $6,600 per month.
