PROJECTS

Ryan Ranch Outpatient Campus

Monterey, California

The project began with the development of a phased master plan to incorporate  six new buildings ranging in size from 20,000 to 60,000 square feet on a 25-acre site.  The first phase consists of two new buildings totaling 110,000 square feet—a medical office building for 35 physicians and a clinics building, which are designed to OSHPD 3 requirements—and the campus central plant, which will serve the final buildout of 250,000 square feet.  The clinics building houses an imaging center, sleep center, home care center, diagnostic laboratory, rehabilitation services, and a patient education center.  Our mechanical design complements the architecture by eliminating rooftop and outdoor equipment. Our energy analysis assisted in the selection of energy-saving features to support the campus’ achievement of 21.8% below California’s 2001 energy code.  This is the first project to take advantage of the PG&E Savings By Design Healthcare program, resulting in a $34,285 owner incentive.  Subsequent phases will add an education and training center, an administrative/business center, a second 60,000 square foot medical office building, and an outpatient surgery center.
