Santa Clara Valley Clinics

Guttmann & Blaevoet provided mechanical design for three new OSHPD-3 licensed outpatient health centers in the Santa Clara Valley. These clinics offer ambulatory care, public health, mental health, drug and alcohol treatment, dental, radiology, and support facilities. Our mechanical system includes variable-flow chilled water and heating hot water systems with zoned air handling by exposures for energy efficiency.

Energy Analysis & Savings. Our energy analysis and comprehensive modeling on each of the facilities assisted in energy-efficient building envelope design and resulted in their acheiving significant utility owner incentives.

  • The Milpitas Health Center exceeds California’s 2001 energy code by 25 percent, qualifying for $80,000 in owner’s incentive.
  • The Fair Oaks Health Center exceeds California’s 2001 energy code by 31 percent and qualified for $85,485 in owner’s incentive.
  • The Gilroy Health Center exceeds California’s 2001 energy code by 28 percent, and qualified for an owner’s incentive of $98,430.
