Student Health Center, City College of San Francisco

Mechanical design and LEED commissioning for new, two-story, 22,000 square foot modern health care facility to serve the college’s diverse student community with trained medical staff for such services as general medical needs, psychology counseling, eye examinations, HIV counseling and testing, nutrition counseling and weight management.  Over 20,000 students a year are projected to use the facility.  The program includes patient registration, triage, consultation, treatment rooms, exam rooms, and psychology consultation rooms.  A  health education area is designated for students to research information online and in reference materials.  Support spaces include a multi-use room, nurse practitioner workroom, medical records, and billing and administration.  The second floor is designed to include 10 full-size classrooms connected by a bridge to an adjacent two-story classroom building.
